How To Install The Glock 43X OEM Slide
Before you start: Work on a clean surface. Wear eye protection. Confirm the firearm is unloaded.
- Transfer or install the compatible barrel into the stripped slide.
- Fit the recoil spring/guide assembly into the slide.
- Install the firing-pin/striker and extractor if not already fitted (follow Glock manual).
- Mount the assembled slide onto the frame and rack slowly.
- Fit sights or an optic plate only if the slide is pre-cut or you have a compatible plate.
- Perform a function & safety check (unloaded).
- If anything binds or feels wrong, stop and consult a qualified gunsmith.
How To Disassemble The Glock 43X OEM Slide
Safety: Always confirm the gun is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction.
- Remove the magazine. Lock the slide open and visually/physically check the chamber.
- Release the slide and remove it from the frame per Glock takedown procedure.
- Remove the barrel and recoil spring/guide from the slide.
- If you plan to remove the striker/firing-pin, follow Glock’s instructions or leave this to a gunsmith.
- Keep parts organized in a tray. Clean and inspect each part.
